Gunny + Galloon is a textile design studio specializing in the creation of custom hand-made treatments on fabric. At G+G we take an experimental approach to our craft; always looking to discover new and innovative ways to alter, embellish and adorn fabrics.
 
Gunny + Galloon was founded by Shiva Sadri; a textile designer and illustrator. Shiva received a degree from UC Davis in surface design and worked as a hand-knits designer before moving to NYC to study fashion at Parsons, the New School for Design. After graduating in 2006 shiva worked as a freelance textile designer before deciding to set up her own studio in 2008. She has created work for such established New York designers as Oscar de la Renta, Vera Wang, Reem Acra, Behnaz Sarafpour, Richard Chai and Phi.
 
Shiva finds inspiration in the patterns and textures of all things that surround her. Simple, seemingly insignificant details fuel her imagination. Not surprisingly, nature - its perfect harmony and awesome strangeness - never fails to amaze her. Shiva cherishes the satisfaction of working with her hands and never takes for granted the gift of being able to do what she loves each day.
