SPRING 2008 - Digital print Repeat development and hand-painted motifs on silk.

In this project organic microscopic motifs were explored. The result was two hand-painted motifs and one digitally rendered repeat pattern. The hand-painted designs were created by first discharging the color from parts of the fabric and then hand-painting the motifs over the bleached areas.
 
FALL 2008 - Hand-painted stencil tree motif on organza.

To achieve an illusion of a birch tree forest, three layers of organza were hand-painted using stencils. The stencils were created in the shape of the pattern pieces and made to precisely overlap each other when the garment was put together.
